この作品は白磁焼成を目指したものの胎土などに鉄分が多く含まれている為、赤味発色し景色が生まれました。このタイプの茶碗は蕎麦茶碗とも呼ばれ、井戸の次に来る作品として茶人には尊ばれて来ました。かなり上手で金継ぎが成されていることから、本品を持っていたコレクターさんが如何に愛用されていたかが解ります。大阪は老松で東南アジアの古陶磁と韓国古陶磁をメインに商っておられるお店から購入させていただいたものです。

Although this work was aimed at firing white porcelain, it has a reddish color because the clay contains a lot of iron. This type of tea bowl is also called soba tea bowl, and has been revered by tea masters as the next work after Ido. From the fact that the Kintsugi was done quite skillfully, we can see how the collectors who owned this item loved it. I purchased it from a shop in Oimatsu Street, Osaka that mainly sells old ceramics from Southeast Asia and old Korean ceramics.
