オピウム・ウエイトは、アヘンの秤として使われていたとされていますが、これはイギリスがミャンマーを占領したときに偶々、そのように使われていただけで、本来は、当時の王朝が測量標を定める為に作られたものです。モチーフには、鳥、獅子、象、その他の動物になります。本品は、嘴がキスをしているように見えることからKissing Duckと言われています。オピウム・ウェイトはモチーフが細かくなると、それだけ希少価値が増します。本品もその類となります。
 
The opium weight is said to have been used as an opium scale, but it happened to be used that way when Britain occupied Myanmar, and the dynasty at that time originally set the wieight survery and it was made for this purpose. The motifs are birds, lions, elephants and other animals. This product is called Kissing Duck because the beak looks like it is kissing. The finer the motif of the opium weight, the more rare it becomes. This product is also similar like that.
